Swear to Tell the Truth for Tuesday, August 2nd (1:00 to 2:30pm)
What was supposed to be three weeks away from the program turned out to be the entire month of July because of technical work that had to be carried out last Monday and Tuesday in the on-air and production studios at CFMU but we’re back now in August.
This week, we take a brief look at sanctified gospel groups in the pre-war era; also Excello label blues, Rockin Sidney and Ohio Soul.
On the Show:
Five Blind Boys of Mississippi – McIntorsh & Edwards – Rev. Benny Campbell – Gospel Minnie – Mahalia Jackson – Whitehorse – Silas Hogan – Rockin Sidney – Shy Guy Douglas – Albert Washington – Treniers
Listen to the program at FM 93.3 in Hamilton or on CFMU online at cfmu.msumcmaster.ca. The program will be available to stream or download until August 29th.

Next week (August 9th)
Next week, we will present our B.B. King special, based upon the Complete RPM-Ken Recordings a second time. CFMU’s podcast facility was not functioning the first time we aired the show so other-than-live streaming and downloading was not supported. In two weeks, we plan to air the special tracing the history of the Document label.
