Swear to Tell the Truth for Tuesday, October 13, 2020 (10:00 to 12:00 noon)

Because of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday we had to submit the file for this week’s program a couple of days early. This is another in our series of broadcasts from home. On the program, a few recordings by Johnny Otis and associates; selections from the Black Top Blues-a-Rama shows; Cajun songs of love and loss; a Country segment; down-home gospel.

On the Show:

Johnny Otis Orchestra feat. Big Jay McNeely – Robins – Esther Phillips – Smoke Wagon Blues Band – MonkeyJunk – James “Thunderbird” Davis – James Booker – Little Walter – Bill Kinnear & Carlos del Junco – Blind Uncle Gaspard – Carolina Tarheels – Tennessee Ernie Ford – Southern Sons – National Clouds of Joy – Caudill Family – and others.

Listen to the program each week at FM 93.3 in Hamilton, live on Cogeco Cable 288 or on CFMU online at cfmu.ca. The program will be available to stream or download until for eight weeks until December 1st as a podcast. Just go the website, bring up the right playlist and stream or download the show.

Errors and Omissions:

Circumstances quite beyond our control led to the fact that there was no podcast of BRS 292, our Chicago Soul Special, available to you if you tried to stream from the CFMU website. There was a technical failure on September 29th. We decided to rebroadcast the program October 6th but, once again, there is no podcast available on the website for reasons that haven’t been explained to us. Our apologies if you sought the program out and could not find it.
